Sports Betting at Bigbunny
Many casino brands also run a sportsbook, and Bigbunny's lobby may show a sports section depending on your account and location. We cannot confirm what is switched on for you; look at the menu after logging in. If a sportsbook is there, this guide explains how it works from the player's side: reading betting odds, the bookmaker's margin, the main bet types, live betting and cash out, sportsbook promotions, and the habits that keep betting affordable. Sport-by-sport guides follow below.
Betting odds explained
Most sportsbooks show decimal odds: the number is what one peso staked returns if the bet wins, stake included. A ₱100 bet at 2.50 returns ₱250 — ₱150 profit plus your stake. Odds also express a probability: divide 1 by the odds, so 2.50 implies 40%. Fractional odds (3/2) and American odds (+150) say the same thing in other formats; the bet slip can usually switch between them. The odds tell you what you win, not how likely something really is — that is your judgement.
The margin: why the house still wins
Add up the implied probabilities of all outcomes in a market and you get more than 100%. The excess is the bookmaker's margin. In a two-way market priced 1.90 and 1.90, each side implies about 52.6%, totalling 105.3% — a margin of about 5%. Margins differ between sports, leagues and markets; popular events usually carry lower ones, niche markets and live betting higher ones. Comparing the betting line of the same market before and during an event shows how much the margin can move.
Bet types
A single is one selection. An accumulator (parlay) combines several selections; the odds multiply, and every leg must win. Handicap bets give one side a head start; over/under bets are on totals such as goals or points. System bets cover several combinations of selections at once. Our bet types guide explains each with peso examples.
Live betting and cash out
Live betting (in-play) lets you bet while an event is running, with live odds that change after every goal, point or timeout. Bets can be suspended for a few seconds after key moments, and accepted prices may change before confirmation. Cash out lets you settle a bet early at an offered value; it is useful to lock in part of a win or limit a loss, but every cash-out price includes a margin. Using it on every bet costs more over time.
Free bets, odds boosts and acca insurance
Sportsbook promotions include free bets (usually only the winnings are paid, not the free stake), odds boosts on selected markets, and acca boosts or bet insurance that refunds an accumulator if one leg loses. Each has conditions — minimum odds, eligible markets, expiry. A boost is worth having only on a bet you would have placed anyway.
Betting within a budget
Decide a monthly betting budget in pesos and a fixed stake per bet — many bettors use 1–2% of that budget. Do not raise stakes to chase losses, and treat accumulators as entertainment, not strategy: the more legs, the lower the real chance. The same checks as for the casino apply: you must be 21 or over in the Philippines, and the exact domain should be looked up on PAGCOR's list before you deposit.
